Mission Statement:
- In partnership with other Surfrider Foundation chapters and a coalition of marine protection organizations, our mission is to protect the unique resources of the Monterey Bay and Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuaries.
- Our Blue Water Task Force water quality testing program strives to improve the purity of water flowing from our coastal streams. Other chapter programs maintain, expand and improve public access to our region's shoreline, our beach cleanups keep our beaches free of trash, and we offer a variety of educational events to the public.

While we receive guidance and support from the Surfrider Foundation National Office staff, our local chapter is funded almost entirely on local support from those who share our commitment to the ocean protection. Our local chapter is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as an Internal Revenue Code Section 501(C)(3) private foundation.
Your donation may be tax deductible. Please consult your tax professionals.

We also own and operate our own water quality monitoring lab in Princeton by the Sea. If you are interested in becoming our Blue Water Task Force Volunteer, please contact us today!
